In order to minimise the spread of coronavirus I am taking on clients for online video therapy only at present. When the situation becomes more stable I will be able to move clients from online to face-to-face appointments. Please contact me for details.
Welcome! My name is Stacey, I'm a fully qualified therapist offering counselling and psychotherapy in the Belfast area. I'm here to help.
You may feel stuck with a difficulty that’s impacting your emotional wellbeing, or perhaps a general sense of dissatisfaction and wanting more from life. Perhaps you are unsure of what it is that’s troubling you. I can offer you the opportunity to work through this to create lasting and transformative change in your life.
Tel: 07875 448 012 Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
I have extensive experience of working one-to-one with adults and young people in a variety of NHS and private settings. Within these settings I have helped clients with a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships issues and loss.
My journey in the field began when I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology and I am now a fully qualified therapist, a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registered as a doctoral trainee Counselling Psychologist. I am also registered with the UK Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Seeing a therapist for the first time can sometimes feel a little overwhelming. I hope that in our introductory session together you will feel welcome and relaxed as we discuss what your expectations are of the therapy and what I can offer. I can explain more about how counselling works and answer any questions you have.
The first session is an opportunity to see if you feel comfortable working with me. It is also a chance for us to discuss the terms of the therapy including the times you are able to attend.
I provide a safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment in which you can discuss your concerns and worries freely. I’m aware that it can sometimes feel very difficult to talk to those closest to you about your innermost thoughts and feelings. Speaking to a professional can relieve the isolation and misunderstanding that this can create.
I am able to offer short- and long-term face-to-face therapy, as well as therapy via online video link. The sessions take place once a week and last 50 minutes.
We will work collaboratively throughout the process. Whether we work together for a short time or over a longer period, there will be regular points at which we review the therapy. This is important to make sure that you are getting the help and support that you need.
Things I can help with:
Post-traumatic stress (PTSD)
Bullying and emotional abuse
Counselling regarding abortion and fertility issues
I charge £60 per session.
Concessions are available for students and individuals on a low income.
If you would like to book your first session, or if you simply have some enquiries before doing so, don't hesitate to get in touch via this form or my mobile: 07875 448 012.
